The school admission circular 2023 (gsa teletalk) has been released by the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE). At the same time, the public and private secondary school admission notification of district headquarters and upazila headquarters of Dhaka, across the country has also been published. Application for admission to government and private secondary schools will start from 16 November 2022. Last date of application is 06 December 2022 till 5 PM.
Admission application process is online (https://gsa.teletalk.com.bd) through this site. As before, this year also the selection of students in the school for the academic year 2023 will be done through online lottery. Admission Lottery Result Announcement 10 December 2022.

Age of students for admission in 1st class

According to the admission notice, age 6+ (minimum 6 years or more) has been fixed as per the National Education Policy for the admission of students in class 1 in the academic year 2023.

Date of admission application and lottery

Online (https://gsa.teletalk.com.bd) application process for admission to government schools will start from November 16. Will continue until December 6. Digital lottery will be held at the central level. Online lottery will be held on December 10. No examination other than lottery shall be conducted for the admission of students. Admission must be completed by December 28.

5 school choices can be given

1) Among the government secondary schools, the government secondary schools (including feeder branches) of Dhaka city will be divided into three groups for admission. At the time of application, a candidate can give maximum 5 schools in the same group in order of preference. 2) Applicants across the country will get the list of Thana wise educational institutions during the institution selection at the time of application. From there maximum 5 schools can give preference. 3) In case of schools running in 2nd shift (double shift), choosing both shifts will count as two choices.

Like last year, no admission form will be distributed from the school. Apply online (https://gsa.teletalk.com.bd). Students will be selected for admission through lottery.

Admission application fee

Like last time this year also the admission application fee was fixed at 110 Taka, this year also the same fee may be fixed. Which can be paid only through SMS from Teletalk prepaid mobile.

School groups, lifts and preferences

According to the admission notification, 44 government secondary schools (including 3 feeder branches) of Dhaka city will be divided into 3 different groups. At the time of application a candidate can select maximum 5 schools in the same group in order of preference. Apart from this, the applicants across the country will get the list of Thana-wise educational institutions during the selection of institutions at the time of application. In this case, candidates can select a maximum of 5 schools in order of preference in each application based on availability.

The notification also said that in case of double shift organization, if both shifts are selected, two selection sequences will be considered completed. The same choice of school or shift cannot be chosen a second time.

Selection of students through school lottery

In the academic year 2023, the institutions outside the institutions participating in the digital lottery program organized at the central level will also have to select students in the lottery process through their respective admission committees. In the case of admission of students, students cannot be admitted by any means other than conducting the selection process of students through lottery in the presence of the respective admission committee, i.e. through examination.

Besides, the number of seats equal to the number of children suitable for the admission of teachers/teachers/staff working in government secondary schools will be reserved in that institution. In this case they do not need to apply online.

If the teacher/teacher/employee is working in a Government Secondary Boys School and his/her eligible child is a girl, the seat should be reserved in the neighboring Government Girls School. Similarly, if the teacher/teacher/employee is working in a Government Secondary Girls’ School and her eligible child is a boy, the seat should be reserved in the neighboring Government Boys’ School.
